On November 8, we will once again organise the international Delta Trends Day at the University of Tartu (Estonia), the theme of which this time is “The New Economic World Order”.
The US-China struggle for world leadership has intensified over the past twenty years. The economic engine of this struggle has been the globalisation of the world economy, which has created global value chains. The key question now is how the confrontation between the United States and China in the fight for the role of the hegemon of the world economy will affect the functioning of the world economy. The current one-hegemonic regime can be replaced by two or more hegemonic regimes. Estonia’s interests are affected by the position of the European Union in the further division of the world economy. How is the confrontation between the US and China developing?Experts in their field share their ideas and thoughts about what the future economy in Estonia, in Europe and in the world could look like.
Delta Trends Day 2022 seeks answers to the following questions:
These and many other exciting topics of upcoming years in the economic sector will be discussed and analysed during the Delta Trends Day 2022. Take the opportunity to take part in this unique event!
Delta Trend Days try to make sense of developments and set trends on internationally important issues concerning development. Delta Trends Day 2021, for example, had the theme “Reinventing a 400-Year-Old University for Talent”, see https://delta.ut.ee/en/calendar/delta-trends-day-2021/).
Delta Trends Day 2022 is broadcasted from four studios located at the Delta Centre. The Delta Centre is one of the most modern centres of digital technology, analytical and economic thought in the Northern region with core competencies in management and economics, computer science, technology and robotics, and mathematics and statistics. The Delta Management School is part of this vibrant 3,200+ member community, combining learning, excellence in research, and the challenges of business and society in creating innovative solutions for economic and social progress.
