The Background of the Theme Selection and Event Structure
Digitalisation fundamentally transforms accounting and reporting practices within private and public organisations. At its core, digitalisation promises to enhance accountability and organisational performance by improving the availability, richness, and accessibility of data. Alongside these advancements, digital transformation poses new challenges for various accounting professionals, managers, and policymakers. It requires a proactive approach to manage the complexities digitalisation introduces to the accounting profession. Yet, sustainable development pressures significantly influence corporate reporting practices, necessitating a shift towards enhanced transparency and accountability. Effective reporting practices are crucial for integrating its social, environmental, governance, and economic dimensions into business strategies, ultimately supporting the achievement of sustainable development objectives.
Join us, on 12 November, as screens worldwide light up for the Delta Trends Day 2024, an event set to ignite conversations and perhaps redefine perceptions about future accounting and finance. We have brought together an international ensemble of leading experts and practitioners to dissect, discuss, and delve deep into this topic. Get ready to witness an enlightening discourse exploring future accounting and finance.
Delta Trends Day 2024 consists of 3 main blocks:
1. Digitalization of accounting & reporting practices
2. Sustainable development pressures on reporting practices
3. Sustainable finance & investments – future threats & opportunities
