The language of writing

Do you want to improve your skills on the use of language when writing your text? Do you want to practice the ways in which you can approach language in your writing?

We all have to get our writing done, but sometimes it is hard to write in Academic English, especially when English is not your mother tongue .

“The language of writing” is part of the series of the “Get your writing done!” webinars organised by the International Student Ambassadors and the AVOK: Centre for Academic Writing and Communication ✍️.

This workshop will be hosted by the Head of AVOK, Djuddah Leijen, who will share insights on the function of language in academic writing, followed by a demonstration of approaches as a practical task – for instance: what kind of language do you use when formulating your introduction .
